Day 1 - Hot Noon on Lake

After a delay to wait the wind Brera to enter (the solar time make delays +1h), the races are started. Very good condition to open the season on the Lago di Lecco: Wind SW/12-15[kts] temp: above 23[°C]. Yes a very great Spring.

First H22 with 14 participants, after J24 and Platu25 (4 and 2 respectively).

The numbers count, so the big fighting are in the H22 class, where we found the Italian Champion in charge Benedetto Di Venosta, the ex-world Champion ORC Roberto Spata, on the boat helms by Marco Achler from the shipyard NeoMarine, the strong female team Vele Rosa from Milano.

Even if very tight we had just one protest for RRS10.

The J24 and Platu25, even if a small numbers, they showed a great capacity of sail, as it’s to expect from the local sailors, and a great speed, that in this condition, they are mining the efficiency of the gennaker, only at the departure they are less spectacular…

The first day has closed by the traditional dinner with the “nostrano” menù cooked by the member Marzio, the tables are hug by the new models of Discovery and Range Rover Velar, brought by the sponsor Lario MiAuto.

Tomorrow will be hard since the morning, the first start is at 08:30L (06:30UTC) to race with the north Tivano, so stay tuned!!!
