Google+ (Picasa) vs Dropbox

In this article the author review the two features of the two services.

I used both, at the end, I left Dropbox gallery in favor of Picasa. It was too simple and if set bad gives access to third parties access to the folder; I use it as backup service if the "costumer" is unable to use Picasa/G+ Photo.

Now I'll surprise you: I left Picasa too. Yes I opened here in Smugmug my new web-door to the world, because my needs changed and I need to manage better the relations with "costumers" and also because Apple add the plug-in to upload to smugmug in Aperture 3.5

Actually my strategy is:

- Picasa for all project that need to be share on G+ and family, friends and press: all images are watermarked and at low quality (jpeg, quality 10/12, metadata included, 150dpi, AdobeRGB1998)

- 500px for my portfolio of BEST shots and challenge myself with the best photo in the world (not updated, lately I discharged awesome account in favor of Smugmug and d/t the lack of attention to UE users and too many change of graphics)

- Homepage Smugmug, now is my main gate, I could set many features and so who will look to me here he/she will find out everything.

- Dropbox is where I put my project I delivered zipped for the download if some webmaster needs files for their gallery and so they can download all in one file.

Last Consideration:

In theory Google+ Photo and Picasa are the same thing, but they are still different and have different layout focus on different user: for example in picasa is very easy manage files and metadata,  while on G+ is very easy download the gallery in a zip file and share in the world.
